The Lindsay Automotive Group has been an important part of the Washington, DC metro area community for decades.  Beginning with Lindsay Cadillac of Alexandria opening in 1949, three generations of Lindsay's have been involved in the daily operations of the dealership group that now include Lexus of Alexandria, Lindsay Ford of Wheaton, Lindsay Chevrolet of Woodbridge and Isuzu Commercial Trucks, and Lindsay Volkswagen of Dulles.  Lindsay Smart Center of Alexandria opened in January 2008 bringing the total number of dealerships to seven in the Greater Washington DC area.
